पशु बलि नदिन अन्तिम अपिल
वीरगंज, ९ मंसिर ।
एनिमल वेलफेयर नेर्टवर्क नेपाल र पशुबलि निषेध चेतना अभियानले पशुलाई जीवनदान दिनको लागि अन्तिम क्षणको भावनात्मक अपिल गरेको छ।
हिजो रिपोर्टस क्लब नेपाल पर्साको साक्षात्कारमा एनिमल वेलफेयरका प्रमदा शाह, मनोज गौतम, राजभक्त बम्जनले संयुक्तरुपमा बोल्दै विश्वको
सबैभन्दा वृहत पशुबलिमा हुने निर्दोष पशुबलिलाई खत्तम गर्न गढीमाइका पूजारी लगायत सम्बन्धित सरोकार संघसंस्थालाई आग्रह गरेको बताए।
आज अपरान्ह चार बजे वीरगंजको गहवामाइ मन्दिरमा सांकेतिक संस्कारको आग्रह गरिएको र एनिमल वेलफेयर नेर्टवर्क नेपाल र पशु विभाग दुवैले दान गरिएका पशुहरुलाई बासस्थानको व्यवस्था गरिएको अपिलमा उल्लेख छ। यसै सर्न्दर्भमा अष्टे्रलियाली अभिानकर्ता सराह विल्करले नेपाल पर्यटन बोर्डमा आफ्नो भनाइ राख्ने भएकी छन् । उनले बलिलाई रोक्नको लागि नेपाली जनता र प्रतिनिधिहरुलाई समेत अन्तिमपटक अपिल गर्नेछिन् । ४ हजार भन्दा बढी जनताहरुले संयुक्त रुपमा हस्ताक्षर गरी अत्यधिक रुपमा हुने गरेको बलि रोक्न सरकारलाई अनुरोध गरेको र हस्ताक्षर पर्यटन तथा
नागरिक उड्डयन मन्त्री, कृषि तथा सहकारी मन्त्रीलाई हस्तान्तरण गरिएको अपिलमा उल्लेख छ ।

We should try every effort to help make this animal sacrifice come to STOP. This is such an inhuman act to have those innocent animals and birds killed everyday and every years during Dashain time in temples all over Nepal apart from this Gadhi Mai temple. If someone wants to enjoy meat, then they are free to get from the market on their own, but NEVER offer to the supreme power. It is such a foolish act to offer the lives of innocent animals in exchange of their own personal benefits (promotion in job, better living condition, cure from sickness, getting out from the trouble etc.) The script says, ” all beings on the face of this earth are children of god.” Devi Durga is the mother of universe protecting all beings from the evils. So NO mother likes blood of their children in front of their temples.
I noticed that some of our friends wrote comments comparing mo mo with it. Please understand that there is a vast difference between these two. The thing is that we are NOT discussion over meat eaters and non-meat eaters. As far as I have understood, we are discussing over this topic in effort to help bring some solution toward this misinterpreted, violent act of worship to the supreme power.
In the past, somewhere someone may have misinterpreted our religion and included this inhuman act in it. We have to now realize that because of this act, our religion have earned a very bad reputation, and its image has been tarnished. We all feel uncomfortable and somehow ashamed when time to explain it to the foreigners. The sad thing is that people are still carrying this misguided and misinterpreted tradition even until today without realizing how bad it is especially when offering the blood of those innocent birds and animals to the mother of universe inside the temple.
Therefore, I see the urgency of working toward bringing such an violent act in the name of religion, in the name of God. If other associations have started working toward it, then at least we have to support them.
